PRIDE SVMC
shaping the future of pride vmc and the veterinarian profession
PrideSVMC (formerly Broad Spectrum Student Veterinary Medical Association) is the student-run arm of the Pride Veterinary Medical Community. The PrideVMC fosters acceptance and inclusivity for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities within the veterinary profession. PrideVMC offers support and mentorship, and is the fiscal sponsor of the national PrideSVMC.
All campus chapters of PrideSVMC are independent entities that fall under university rules and regulations. The national PrideSVMC board helps guide individual chapters by offering chapter grants and hosting the PrideSVMC Annual Meeting at the SAVMA Symposium.
We thank you for your interest and hope you will help us to create an inclusive academic veterinary community where sharing experiences and educational opportunities inspire community engagement and equity so that LGBTQ+ people and allies are able to contribute to and thrive within a diverse and inclusive veterinary profession.
