PrideSVMC is the national community for LGBTQ+ veterinary students and allies. Student-led and proudly part of the Pride Veterinary Medical Community (PrideVMC), PrideSVMC connects students across veterinary schools to build community, develop leaders, share resources, and help create a veterinary profession where everyone can belong.

PrideVMC supports PrideSVMC through mentorship, national connection, student funding opportunities, and support for campus chapters. Each PrideSVMC campus chapter operates independently under the rules and requirements of its university, while the national PrideSVMC community helps connect and support student leaders across veterinary education.

Whether you’re looking for community on your campus, hoping to meet LGBTQ+ veterinary students across the profession, ready to lead, or interested in making your school more inclusive, there is a place for you here.

PrideSVMC Across Veterinary Education

During the 2025–26 academic year, PrideSVMC had 17 recognized campus chapters, with student liaisons connecting PrideSVMC to additional veterinary schools.

PrideSVMC chapters renew their recognition each academic year, and new chapters are always welcome.
